On Thursday 2nd October, the Wessex RFCA Lord Lieutenant Cadet Awards were held at County Hall, Exeter, where five new Lord Lieutenant Cadets were commissioned by His Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Rear Admiral Chris Snow CBE DL. Also in attendance was the Chair of the Council, Councillor Caroline Leaver.
A variety of awards were presented across the evening. Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers were honoured with His Majesty’s Certificate of Meritorious Service for their remarkable dedication. The Ulysses Trust celebrated those who have made an exceptional contribution to providing adventurous training and expedition opportunities. Cadets who have gone above and beyond were appointed as His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant’s Cadets for Devon. Finally, local employers were applauded for their incredible support of the Armed Forces community through the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Awards.
