On Wednesday, 8th May, HM Lord Lieutenant of Devon attended Devon County Council’s Pride Flag Raising at County Hall. He was joined by the Chief Executive of Devon County Council, Donna Manson, elected Members, representatives of Devon County Council’s LGBT+ Staff Network, and members of the Exeter Pride committee, including the founder, Alan Quick.

 

Donna Manson, Chief Executive of Devon County Council, said:

“It was a privilege to stand alongside colleagues and raise the Pride flag at County Hall. Everyone should be able to live their lives with respect, free from discrimination. Flying the Pride flag is a symbol of our commitment to doing all we can at Devon County Council to help make Devon a safe and inclusive place to live, work and grow for all.”

 

Alan Quick, founder of Exeter Pride, went on to thank Devon County Council for their continuing support of pride.
