As the next step in the cascade after the Proclamation has been made by the Heralds in Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff at 12noon today, the County Proclamation will be held today at County Hall Exeter at 1pm.  It will be read by the High Sheriff of Devon Richard Youngman accompanied by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon and attended by County Civic Leaders. It is open to any members of the public who would like to witness this historic occasion.  Although this is a sad time, today we celebrate the accession of King Charles III.  Flags will be flown at full mast during this time and then returned to half mast for the remainder of the mourning period.
