The Westbank Community group were visited by HM Lord-Lieutenant who presented the volunteers from Neighbourhood Friends with their well deserved Queens Award for Voluntary Service for the hard work, many hours and effort they give to the Community. This award is like a BEM for voluntary groups and has a very high standard nationally. The Lord-Lieutenant was shown around the service and briefed about the many aspects of the community volunteering, with the ethos that nothing is too difficult. He was able to meet a smaller group of volunteers given the current situation with the pandemic, but to listen to their stories was inspirational.
