Saturday 2 June
2pm – the Coronation of the village’s Jubilee Queen and consorts as chosen by Bridestowe Primary takes place on the sporting green; also the burial of the time capsule made by Bridestowe Scouts and Cubs beneath the green’s new commemorative horse chestnut tree.
Children can enjoy entertainment throughout the afternoon and collect commemorative coins at 3.30pm.
Display of the village’s history in the hall throughout the day.
4pm – a bring and share tea party in the hall with music from Brian Higbee.
6pm – patriotic music singalong led by Pippa MacDougall and Neon Reynolds with pianist Ann Tait.
7.30pm – family disco.
10pm – the village beacon will be lit on the moor.
