It is with very great sadness that we have heard of the death of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

It was in Devon as a young naval officer, training at Britannia Royal Naval College, that Prince Philip met and later married Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Not surprisingly therefore the County has been important to them both throughout their lives and they have visited us here many times.

We give thanks for a wonderful life. May he rest in peace.

Littleham

Saturday 2 June

Painting and Artwork Exhibition by members of the Littleham Church art group and Littleham Primary School on display from 2pm-4pm, at the Community Hall in West Down Lane.

Sunday 3 June

A jubilee tea party for the under 12s at the Community Hall from 2pm with bouncy castle and entertainment.  Each child to receive a commemorative gift. Admission is free. Donations of party food for sharing is requested by the organisers.

Monday 4 June

Live music and a barn dance also at the Community Hall when a hog roast and BBQ will be held from 7.30pm – 11pm. Tickets are £5 each. Bring your own drinks.  Those attending are asked to wear red, white and blue.
